Whats a good nail strengthener to use?

My nails grow very long but soft-what can I use to strengthen them and stop them from breaking off?Whats a good nail strengthener to use?
i take a vitamin every day, plus some other supplements. my nails are pretty stong. your nail grows behind the cuticle. that's where its strength is determined, not beyond your fingertip. maybe try some supplements like glucosamine/chondroitan? it'll take about 2+ months before the new nail growth is in your fingernail area. good luck.Whats a good nail strengthener to use?
A combination of Vitamin A and D is required for good growth vision and healthy HAIR AND Nails

The best source will be COD LIVER OIL which is good also for maintaining resistance to infections such as colds and coughs (sold commercially in Capsules form) or u can just eat food which contain them

U will need also calcium which also needs vitamin D to be absorbed

Bottom line u can use milk ,cheese ,spanish and fish to have them all...

it takes time for ur nail to be healthy (this is the long term treatment) so u can use now any nail cover available in the market (please not that saturated red)
Well Shari I tell you the eastern way of it.

Use Garlic on your nails regularly snd you will notice the change qiute surely and a +ve change.
It starts with nutrition first like the others said.

But otherwise...the Malava or Mavala - can never remember - products from Switzerland are truly marvelous. Can only get them online now because they had no other competition so the stores lost money. No I don't work for them.

It used to be widely available but companies got pissed off;so it was pulled off and replaced with inferior products.
i use O.P.I ';start to finish'; - base and top coat, its fantastic it really hardens your nails and makes them strong, also eat lots of leafy green veggies and lots of food with calcium in.
My sister used to eat Knox Gelatin daily and take Iron Pills. I don't know if it was just the gelatin or the combo of both but her nails were very strong, not brittle or thin at all.
