duz it soak in2 the cells of the nail or sumthin or is it just supposed 2make the nail thicker w/the added coat on top of the natural part?it sez yr supposed 2notice sumthin w/in 5-7 days but i swear i dont notice nuthin.i also noticed wen i got 2the store that there r many diff.kinds of ';troublesome'; nails,i thot there was only 1kind,so it took me alot longer than xpected 2find the rite 1.being that,i feel it may b more helpful 2u if i tell u the type i bought.;Sally Hansen,Nail Growth,Instant Nail Hardener-the sally hansen was written on the side(in case that matters)but the other 2were centered 1on top of the other in the order that i typed them.meant 4;soft fragile nails that chip,break,or peel-nails that wont grow w/out breaking.also,wenevr i put it on,it tends 2bubble abit after a couple of days.it dont stay attached 2the nail.@least thats the way it is w/sum of them sumtimez.the way i put it on is;thick first coat, thin sec.,thin coat of polish third.How duz nail strengthener keep yr nails from breaking?

But to answer your question- the strengthener leaves like a coat over your nails to protect them. I personally don't use the polish. Nail strengthener just makes nails stronger. And polish bubbles because of the nail polish not because of how many coats. Don't shake it, roll it between your hands.
